Tips to use:

Avoid being an aggressive driver- how can you do that?
Speeding your car, repeatedly honking the horn, tailgating most of the times, use of brakes suddenly while in front of a tailgater, using improper gestures; facial or of hands. Flashing of headlights repeatedly, yelling and trying to cut the other drivers on the road all are signs of aggressive driving.

Do not drive when you are upset!
The best way to avoid any aggression on the road at any time would be to drive when you are in the right frame of mind, which means you are not angry or emotionally upset. If the other driver is yelling at you, you must avoid retaliating, Listen to soothing music that can relax you even while driving besides never listen to loud music when driving as you may be unable to hear other cars honking.

Night driving proves to be difficult for many
When you are driving at night insure that your car headlights are working fine so that you can see the road ahead. Use dim dashboard lights and your sun visor if you think the light coming from ahead is too blaring for your eyes. There may even be a possibility that you do not see the roadway signs at time so if you are looking at directions carry a torch, if that helps.

Usage of cell phones only if you must:
Before making a call look at the traffic on the road, always attempt to make that important call only when you have stopped. Make use of the loudspeaker facility on your phone and keep the phone at arrange where you can hear or speak clear. Avoid intense or long conversations while driving, as they can be very distracting. If need be pull out of the congested road and then complete your conversation.

Be watchful of the weather:
There may be times when you have to drive when it is raining heavy, or there is too much fog hence you can not see the road clearly. Drive slowly; use the signal for turning long before you have to turn so that the driver behind knows exactly how to follow.
